Got Milk
Three weeks is a good age to introduce some goats milk to the pups. Some litters are not into the supplemental feedings initially, these guys....I will let the pictures tell the story.
Clean up needed in aisle one!

There's one in every bunch
Today I introduced a huge assortment of toys to the pups.
All that playing has really gone to one pups head who fancies himself a comic.
"So...a three legged dog walks into a bar" |
three legs? how was he able to walk?? |
Oh man, I cannot believe he is going there |
The suspense is killing me, what happened next? |
He said he was looking for the man that shot his paw he he he...get it.... his PAW? |
Shot his paw, oh man you slay me! |
I don't get it? |

Two weeks old today
Happy Birthday guys, two weeks old! Eyes are beginning to open, they are getting up and trying to walk to mom at feeding time, granted it is two steps and roll, but, they are trying to work those chubby legs. I didn't take too many photos as I don't like to flash their eyes at this age.
Look, little eyebrows growing |
Let go of my nose! |

A Trug full of pups
Every day I remove the pups from their box, pull out the newspaper, toss the blanket in the washing machine and lay down clean papers and blanket. While doing this I have been putting them into a large garden trug, pups are growing so fast that it looks like I need a bigger means of containment. If you look you should be able to count all nine pups in here, well, bits of all nine.
A big sleepy yawn from this boy! Look at the length of those nails, time for their first pedicure.
They quickly snuggle into the new blankets and sleep until mom comes to feed them again. Oh and if you want to see what mom Clover is doing while away from the pups, here she was yesterday morning.
I am trying (unsuccessfully) to get some video up, still fighting with the software program and Vimeo, will try You Tube later.

Random mid week puppy photos
Pups are doing fantastic, gaining weight daily, we had one accidental escapee (crawled on top of mom and rolled over the top and out of the box) mostly they sleep, when not sleeping they eat. Clover is a spectacular mom, keeping the box and babies spotless. She keeps them well fed and quiet ALL night, never waking me up, I wander in at least once during the night to check and she always has everything under control. Thank you Grandma Fiddle for passing on your amazing maternal skills to your daughter.

Boys, boys, boys...and a few girls too
Please let us introduce to you Clover and her new family. The first pup made it's arrival at 9:35pm last night, a big girl, within the hour Clover delivered two more girls. I was getting a little anxious as I knew there were some wonderful folks hoping for a male pup. Be careful what you wish for, the next SIX pups were all boys! Our new puppy family consists of 3 girls and 6 boys, all Pepper & Salt of course.
Enjoy all the photos as I try to get some rest and Clover and her pups settle in. I will be in touch with everyone on Clover's puppy list in the next day or so.
